PART I STUDIES

PART I - UNIVERSITY OF KENT

THIRD YEAR

During the third year of my studies, everything I had thus so far learnt was challenged to the extreme to produce intricate conceptual strategies to solve an array of problems, from restoring function to an old Dockyard church to producing urban strategies to regenerate the town of Sheerness on Sea. My dissertation focuses on the application and limitations of Earthquake resistant technology based in Gujarat, India, after the tragic 7.7 magnitude earthquake of 2001 had hit. Click on the image to see the project.

SECOND YEAR

During the second year of my studies, I was able to combine newly established drawing skills with computer programs such as Sketch-Up, Photoshop, 3DS Max, InDesign and Revit. This allowed me to further express my designs through different mediums and also allowed for more complex schemes. Also, integration with environmental strategies and structural components expanded my knowledge. Click on the image to see the project.

FIRST YEAR

During the first year of my studies, all works were to be hand drawn as instruction by the Kent School of Architecture. This allowed us to develop drawing skills and grasp a valuable understanding of space and scale physically, before transfering our skills onto computer programs in the second year. Click on the image to see the project.
